About

A pianist who thinks in rooms, light, and silence

I want every concert to feel like the first and the last one in the same breath.

Katinka von Richter is a concert pianist and performance artist based in Paris. She studied at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris and has played recitals from Berlin to Kyoto, drawing a repertoire that spans Bach, Ravel, Schönberg, and her own collaborators.

Her Performance-Recitals treat each venue as an instrument of its own — candlelight, bare walls, quiet attention — building a frame where the audience is part of the music rather than a witness to it.

Appears with the Orion Concerts series she founded in 2021.

Piano + installation

Performance-Recitals

A different kind of concert

Performance-Recitals are intimate evenings where the piano, the space, and the listener meet on equal terms. Candlelit rooms, unconventional venues, a single programme held together by a single idea — the result is closer to theatre than to a traditional recital.
